The National Weather Service says a strong cold front will slam into Southwest Ohio overnight, bringing a line of thunderstorms expected to cause damaging winds, and possibly tornadoes. The storms were expected to hit sometime after 1:00am, according to a briefing from the weather service office in Wilmington. The damaging wind impact is expected to be significant. Duke Energy spokesperson Sally Thelen tweeted that sustained winds after the storm blows through may hinder restoration efforts. Since the storms will take place at night, you should have a weather radio to alert you. Fans of Badin High School are a step closer to driving home their support for the Rams...literally. The Ohio House Transportation and Public Safety Committee has approved H.B. 394, which would create a license plate dedicated to Badin High School. Butler County State Representative Sara Carruthers (pictured) provided sponsor testimony in favor of the bill. If approved, supporters will pay a $30 annual fee for the plates, which would include Badin's logo. The money would go to the school's general fund. The bill now goes on to the full house for a vote. Carruthers says Hamilton, Fairfield, and Ross High Schools already have their own license plates.
