Powdery Mystery Solved

(Hamilton)---We now know the substance found on some streets, lawns, and porches on Hamilton's west side the past couple of days. It was flour. Hamilton fire crews had the substance tested by West Chester's specialized haz-mat team. Police would still like to know who spread the flour and why. Firefighters were called to the Rhea/Ridgelawn/Cleveland Avenue areas where several residents found the powder this morning. There's is some speculation that it may have been spread by the Hash House Harriers, a running group.

Hamilton Superintendent Placed On Leave

Hamilton City School Superintendent Tony Orr has been placed on paid leave, effective immediately, while the district investigates allegations he violated school board policies. Business Manager Larry Knapp will serve as interim superintendent. Knapp is a 38-year educator, with 34 years in administration for several school districts. He has also served as a superintendent. The district sent a letter to parents saying the allegations do not involve students in any way.
