(Quinnipiac, PA)-Governor John Kasich has opened up a big lead over his Democratic challenger in the latest statewide poll released Wednesday morning. According to the Quinnipiac Poll of 1,174 registered voters, Kasich leads Ed Fitzgerald 50-35%. Kasich has gained 7 points and Fitzgerald has lost 3 points since a February survey. Voters give Kasich a 56% job approval rating, his best since taking office in 2010. The poll shows Fitzgerald still has some work to do when it comes to introducing himself to voters. The poll says 63% of voters do not know enough about Fitzgerald to form an opinion.
