(Monroe)--Two popular rest areas in Butler County will be closing for a year as they are torn down and rebuilt. ODOT says the Rest stops on I-75 north and southbound south of Monroe will close July 7th as they undergo a full replacement. It's part of Governor DeWine's initiative to replace 36 rest areas across the state with new state of the art buildings. Anticipated re-opening is projected to be in the summer of 2026.
