A TV legend with local ties has passed away. George Wendt played Norm on the TV series Cheers. Wendt died in his sleep early Tuesday at the age of 76. He was the brother-in-law of former Hamilton Mayor, State Representative, and County Commissioner Greg Jolivette, and the brother of Greg's wife Loretta. Wendt would come to town and entertain during fundraisers for Jolivette. He was also the uncle of Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis.
