The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory, which is in effect until 10:00am Wednesday. The agency is predicting wind chills as low as 20 below zero, which could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. You should dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you decide to go outside. You are advised to keep your pets indoors as much as possible. Temperatures will rise above freezing on Thursday, with a high Saturday around 42, with partly sunny skies.
