Keeping The Holiday Safe
(Hamilton)--The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be out in force during the Independence Day weekend, hoping to keep traffic fatalities down. A dozen people died in 10 crashes during last year's holiday period. All but one of the deaths could be attributed to impaired driving. Officials are asking motorists to designate a sober driver during their holiday celebrations, and to call #677 if they see an impaired driver on the highways. Troopers will also be looking for speeders and distracted drivers.
