Butler County Auditor Roger Reynolds was indicted by a Butler County grand jury Wednesday on charges that include bribery and corruption related activities. Reynolds is accused of using his office to lobby local leaders for a road project which would have benefited property owned by his father. Reynolds denies doing anything wrong. He will be arraigned in Butler County Common Pleas Court on February 17th. Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones called on Reynolds to resign during a news conference held at the sheriff's office Wednesday afternoon. Jones says the investigation started seven months ago, and grew to involve the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Ohio Attorney General's Office, and the Ohio Ethics Commission. Attorney General David Yost says he will begin the process of getting Reynolds suspended by the Ohio Supreme Court while he awaits trial.
