MADISON TOWNSHIP--A Madison Township man is dead after apparently falling out of a tree stand at his property Monday night. The Butler County Sheriff's Office says 63 year old Richard Munafo was located in a wooded area by his wife about a half mile from his Hetzler Road home. Madison Township firefighters immediately performed CPR on the victim, but it was too late. The Butler County Emergency Response Services team had to be called to the scene, where they provided ATV's and lighting used to extricate the victim from the woods. The Butler County Coroner's Office has yet to release a cause of death. There's no word on whether Munafo's death may be hunting related. Monday was the first day of deer gun hunting season in Ohio.
