Holiday Travel Expected To be Heavy

More than 2.2 million Ohioans are planning to travel during the Thanksgiving holiday period, the highest single-year increase since 2005. That's according to the Ohio AAA, who says 53.4 million Americans are expected to travel during the five day holiday period, which begins Wednesday, and runs through Sunday. Spokesperson Kimberly Schwind says motorists should know their route ahead of time in order to avoid delays. She also says tracvelers should make sure their vehicles are "road trip ready" by checking thier tires, oil, batteries, windshield wipers and fluid. Schwind says her agency is expecting to help over 400,000 motorists who are predicted to break down on the highways. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 11 people died in traffic crashes during last year's Thanksgiving Day weekend.
