The Hamilton City School District announced Thursday that they will not impose a vaccine mandate for students or staff. Board of Education President Laurin Sprague says the board has no interest in mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for students or staff. He says the choice on whether to receive a vaccine is a parent, family, or individual decision. The announcement came as welcome news to parents who have clashed with the district over mask mandates. Jonetta Hughes-Deweese thanked the board, saying "God gave us our bodies, and it should be our choice what we put in them."
