The Butler County Sheriff's Office says there will be no charges resulting from the drowning of a Middletown teen at a Madison Township water park. 14 year old Mykiara Jones went under water in the pond at the Land of Illusion Adventure Park on June 20th, and never came back up. She was not wearing a life jacket at the time. She was pulled from the water about a half hour after she went under. Jones was Care Flighted to Dayton Children's Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She would have been a freshman at Middletown High School. The investigation is being described as thorough and in consultation with the Butler County Prosecutor's Office. Sheriff Richard Jones says the incident was tragic, and their continued thoughts are with the family.
