Groundbreaking ceremonies were held Thursday afternoon on the new Freedom Pointe development off I-75 and the Butler Regional Highway extension to Cox Road. The 88 acre, $133 million project will be anchored by the Southwest Ohio region's largest COSTCO Warehouse, which will span 160,529 square feet, and should be opened by late 2022.  Plans also call for over 400 luxury apartments and condos built and maintained by Hills Properties, which will be called Relay 129, with a planned opening by 2023. Hills has built several communities in Greater Cincinnati, including the award-winning Palmera Apartments in Deerfield Township, and Savoy at the Streets of West Chester. Developers also plan a hotel, professional office space, and restaurants at the Freedom Pointe site.
