Middletown city leaders unveiled plans for a $1.3 Billion indoor amusement park and entertainment complex called Hollywoodland during Tuesday's city council meeting. The park would be located along the Great Miami River between Central Avenue and 6th Avenue. The city would invest $7.5 million of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding into the project under an agreement with Main Street Community Capital, LLC. Along with the amusement park, the development would also feature three hotels, a convention center, a water park, apartments or condos, sound stages, restaurants, bars, and a concert venue. The city estimates the development will bring 3.5 million visitors to Middletown annually.
