Major Roundabout Project Wraps Up

(MILFORD TOWNSHIP)--An intersection that was once the most dangerous in Butler County re-opened as a new roundabout Friday after a nine month construction project. The Ohio Department of Transportation says the intersection of State Route 73 and Jacksonburg Road should be much safer, since roundabouts greatly reduce the number and severity of accidents. The $2.9 million improvement was ordered after a string of serious vehicle crashes, some of which turned deadly. Poor sight lines were cited as the reason for the previous crashes. ODOT says crews will continue to put the finishing touches on the project, and should be completely finished by mid-summer.
