Dewine Curfew Begins

Governor DeWine's COVID-19 curfew went into effect at 10:00pm Thursday night, amid much criticism from members of his own party. The order from the governor intends to cut down on the rising number of Coronavirus cases in Ohio. A recent surge of the virus has been setting records on an almost daily basis. The curfew runs nightly from 10pm-5am for 21 days. It excludes restaurant drive-thrus, grocery stores, and medical facilities. A bill passed in the Ohio House last week would result in all businesses being declared essential, as long as they follow COVID-19 protocols. DeWine has threatened to veto the legislation.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones told Fox and Friends Thursday that he will not enforce the curfew, and he believes the governor has gone too far. Congressman Warren Davidson (OH-08) has also been critical of the governor's mandates.
