Former Butler County Congressman Walter E. Powell has passed away at the age of 88. He was the last representative of Ohio's 24th Congressional District, and the first congressman of the 8th Congressional District. He served in DC from 1971-1975. He was the father of 12th District Appeals Court Judge Stephen Powell.
Visitation is Wednesday from 4pm-8pm at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd., Liberty Township. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, tentatively at the funeral home.
