(Oxford)--The Talawanda School Board has voted to get rid of their Native American mascot. It was a 3-2 vote with board members Mike Crowder, Chris Otto, and Pat Meade voting to change the nickname from the Braves to the Brave...with no s. The ruling also does away with Native American imagery used in district logos. The vote came after a long and emotionally charged meeting Monday night.
