Amazon Eying Monroe?

Hundreds or even thousands of jobs may be on the way to the City of Monroe. The State of Ohio Tax Credit Authority was set to consider a tax break for Amazon.Com. The company has promised to hire over 100,000 workers, and build fulfillment centers across the country as they take aim at brick and mortar stores. Amazon already has warehouses in Hebron, Kentucky near the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, as well as the Columbus area. Four days ago, the company also announced plans to build an 855,000 square foot facility which would employ 2,000 workers in North Randall, Ohio near Cleveland. The meeting takes place at 10am Wednesday morning. According to the agenda, the project would be located in Warren County, which would place it at or near the Park North industrial development.

?Note: The story was changed to reflect the meeting is Wednesday instead of today.
