Headlines For Monday June 26, 2017

(Hamilton)--A possible homicide investigation is underway by Hamilton police detectives. A man was found shot early Sunday on the front steps of an apartment building at 503 South Front Street. The victim was taken to Fort Hamilton Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been reported, and no ID on the victim has been released. Police are asking the public for more information on the shooting. You can call the detective bureau at 868-5811, extension 2002.

 

(Hamilton)--The director of the Butler County Regional Airport is officially looking for a new job. County Commissioners voted unanimously to fire Ronald Davis during their meeting this morning. The dismissal becomes effective on Friday.

 

(Cedarville)--Another hat in the ring for the upcoming governor's race. Attorney General Mike DeWine announcing he's in during his annual ice cream social at his Cedarville home.
 
(Middletown)--OVI and other charges are expected to be filed against Adam Danner. The Middletown man allegedly blew through a red light, plowing into a police cruiser and a pickup truck at Breiel and Grand. Two officers and the pickup driver were treated at the scene. Danner was taken to Atrium Medical Center.


(Cincinnati)--You are paying more at the pump to begin the work week. Gas Buddy says regular unleaded is averaging $2.23 a gallon in Greater Cincinnati, more than 13 cents higher than it was this time last week.

 

(Orlando, FL)--Call them national champions! The Liberty Junior School Catapult Team took first place at the National Student Technology competition in Orlando Florida. It was part of a STEM conference this past week.

 

SPORTS

 

(Washington, DC)--Scooter Gennett went 4-for-4 with a homer as the Reds beat the Nationals 6-2. Scott Feldman pitched seven innings of two-run ball. The Reds will be in St. Louis tonight for a make-up game. Brandon Finnegan will make his first start since April 15th.
