(Cincinnati)---The return of the Brood X cicadas is underway in Greater Cincinnati. The Mount St. Joseph University Cicada Website says they have received over 150 reports of emerging cicadas the past 24 hours.

The arrival of Brood X is four years early. The 17 year cicadas last innundated neighborhoods in the region back in 2004. Among the areas reporting cicadas so far: Cincinnati, Green Township, Finneytown, North College Hill, Springfield Township, and the City of Hamilton, where Traci Phillips Kinsey snapped a photo of a newly hatched adult cicada and three larvae shells.
