Hamilton Firefighter Killed In The Line Of Duty

Hamilton firefighters are mourning the death of one of their own. Firefighter Patrick Wolterman, 28, was killed when he fell through the first floor to the basement while battling a house fire at 1310 Pater Avenue. Wolterman was rescued by fellow firefighters and transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Wolterman started his job with the HFD on April 25th of this year. He had previously worked for Colerain Township and Fairfield Township. Wolterman was married back in May and had no children. A public memorial service will be held Thursday at 9:30am at the Princeton Pike Churh of God. A procession will carry the body of Wolterman to the Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, where he will be laid to rest during a private graveside service.
