(Hamilton)---Hamilton city leaders announced Friday that they are idleing all four steam powered units at the power plant on North 3rd Street. The city will continue to operate a gas turbine and two hydro units. The move will reduce full time employment at the plant from 17 to 4 full-time jobs, but employees affected will be given opportunities to apply for other vacant city jobs. The city assures residents that the changes will not impact the reliability of electric service.
