(Cincinnati)---Todd Frazier's mammoth 3 run home run in the bottom of the 8th inning led the Reds to a 5-2 Opening Day victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates Monday at Great American Ballpark. Reds ace Johnny Cueto had a brilliant start, going 7 innings, giving up no runs on 4 hits, striking out 10 batters and only walking one. The Reds bullpen blew a 2-0 lead in the 8th with Kevin Gregg giving up a 2 run home run by Andrew McCutchen. Jumbo Diaz struck out one batter in the 8th to pick up the win. Aroldis Chapman retired the side in the 9th to pick up his first save. Jay Bruce added to the Reds offense with a solo homer off Pirates starter Fransisco Liriano.
