(Hamilton)---Hamilton Police say DNA evidence has helped solve a 10 year old rape case. 30 year old Roman Degante Junior pleaded guilty Monday to kidnapping and raping a 17 year old girl on North B Street in June of 2004. The rape went unsolved for several years until Degante was arrested in a 2013 burglary case. Degant's DNA was placed in a database that showed a match with the 2004 rape. Degante will be sentenced on October 13 by Judge Patricia Oney.
