(Washington, DC)---U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown is not in favor of forcing the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to resign over the growing scandal at VA hospitals. Up to 40 patients may have died as a result of scheduling delays at the VA health clinic in Phoenix, and there are growing concerns about problems at other VA facilities. Brown (D-Cleveland) says Congress had a role in causing the problems, because of cuts to VA benefits 10 years ago. He says the allegations must be investigated, but the agency must be allowed to focus on providing "good health care" to millions of veterans across the country.
