(Washington, DC)---The Cincinnati Reds have announced that First Baseman Joey Votto has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 16th. Votto is trying to recover from a distal quad strain of his left knee. Outfielder Jay Bruce has been reinstated off of the DL after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
