At least ten apartment units have been damaged as a result of a fire Monday afternoon in West Chester Township. The flames broke out around 3:00pm at the Union Station Apartment complex off Fountains Boulevard, according to township spokesperson Barb Wilson. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found a large column of smoke coming from the top of the building. Firefighters made sure all residents were able to escape the flames without injury. Several pets were rescued as well, although one dog reportedly died. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
