Republicans in the Ohio Senate have released a proposed re-districting map that would
mean major changes to Butler County's legislative districts. According to the map, the 4th Senate District would continue to serve Butler County, with the exception of Milford and Wayne Townships, Trenton, and Seven Mile, which would be represented by the 5th Senatorial District. The 5th district also encompasses Preble and Miami counties, along with parts of Montgomery and Darke Counties. On the house side, the 44th house district will represent Hamilton and Oxford, as well as Reily, Hanover, and Fairfield Townships. The 45th house district would cover Ross, Morgan, and West Chester Townships as well as the city of Fairfield. The 46th District would represent St. Clair, Madison, and Liberty Townships, along with the cities of Middletown and Monroe. Trenton, Seven Mile, Milford and Wayne Townships would be included in the 39th house district, which also includes Preble County and parts of Montgomery County.
