(Wilmington)---The National Weather Service says there is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening in the Butler County area. The greatest theats will be damaging winds and hail, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
(Fairfield)---The Butler County OVI Task Force has released the location of their planned checkpoint tonight. Troopers, deputies, and police officers will set up on northbound Route 4 near Symmes Road in Fairfield from 11:00pm until 3:00am.
(Columbus)---It was a deadly 4th of July weekend on Ohio roadways. The State Patrol says 17 people were killed in crashes during the four day period that ended Tuesday. Troopers stopped 43,000 cars, arresting over 900 people on OVI charges.
(Hamilton)---Former Fairfield High School teacher and assistant football coach Tyler Conrad will spend the rest of the year behind bars. Conrad was sentenced to 6 months in jail for having sexual contact with a 15 year old student. He will also have to register as a sex offender and give up his teaching license.
(Columbus)---The Ohio House has voted to override 11 Medicaid related vetos by Governor Kasich, but the most controversial veto will remain in effect---at least for now. The governor's veto of a freeze on Medicaid expansions will remain in effect, but lawmakers can bring it back up at any time.
(Denver, CO)---Adam Duvall hit his 20th home run and Sal Romano picked up his first major league win as the Reds beat the Rockies 6-3 at Coors Field.
(Hamilton)---The District Nine Little League tournament continues tonight at West Side. Lebanon will take on the West Siders at 6:30pm for a berth in Sunday's championship round.
Mason Little League will take on Miami Little League at 8:30pm. The winner will play the loser of tonight's West Side/Lebanon game.
