(Hamilton)---The Butler County Health Department is trying to cut down on the number of overdoses involving heroin and other opiates. They are giving away free Narcan kits to family and friends of those at risk of overdose. The department requires them to come in for training on how to spot an overdose, and how to administer the nasal spray. Two doses of Narcan are included in the kits, along with two face shields.

To become a registered Project DAWN overdose responder, you can contact the health department at 513-887-5237.
